Our Story

About Us

Heritage Fish & Chips opened in 1983 as a tiny 25-seat shop on California Street in downtown Brampton, named after the nearby Heritage Theatre. In 1988, Bill Bletsas and Lackie Fotiadis took over, and within a couple of years had grown it into a bustling 120-seat restaurant.

Our Journey

When downtown redevelopment arrived in 1993, Heritage moved to its current home on Queen Street East. A second location followed on Fisherman Drive in 2003, and over the years the family has grown Heritage to four locations across Brampton and Bolton. Through it all, it has stayed family-owned and true to the recipes that built its name.
